Stepables….
You know… those wonderful plants we’ve been promoting for ground cover, along sidewalks, paths and even in planters?
Yes, we still have them, same great plant varieties and even an expanded line, but they’re not called Stepables anymore, they’re called JEEPERS CREEPERS!
So What’s going on??? In the world of marketing, plant producers have created brands… like Proven Winners, Simply Beautiful, Stepables and Jeepers Creepers. In the case of Stepables, the Under a Foot Company collected a group of proven perennials that all met the criteria they wanted in developing a line of plants that were durable for paths, ground cover, etc. They didn’t develop these perennial varieties, most have been around for years. In the great scheme of things, when we decided these were plant varieties we wanted to carry, we chose the Stepable line over the others because of their signage and easy to undertsand instructions.
Unfortunately, our supplier that delivers perennials and Stepables to us twice a week has decided not to carry the Stepable brand any more but to provide these perennial varieties under the Jeepers Creepers brand. We have located a supplier of the Stepables brand, but they only deliver to us every other week.
SO…. In an effort to supply the quality plants our customers have been asking for, we’ve decided to keep our reliable supplier and when we get them in, the only difference will be the color of the pot and the shape of the tag.
